About Us

Our Mission

The mission of Peas and Carrots Speech and Feeding Therapy is to provide family-centered treatment and play-based intervention to young children ranging from toddler years through elementary age. Skilled intervention offering management of articulation/phonological disorders, language delays, social communication, augmentative alternative communication and feeding difficulties. Families will be provided with strategies and empowerment to carry over speech, language and feeding techniques at home.

About Jaclynne Benoit

Jaclynne Benoit M.S. CCC-SLP, the founder of Peas and Carrots Speech and Feeding Therapy, LLC is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and a Massachusetts and New Hampshire licensed speech/language pathologist who has been practicing since 2002. She graduated from Worcester State University in 2002 earning both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Experience

Clinical experience includes developmental speech and language delays/disorders, apraxia, voice, fluency, social communication, feeding therapy, augmentative alternative communication and autism spectrum disorders, as well as, adult dysphagia, cognition and aphasia. Jaclynne has experience with children of all ages, with particular interest in early intervention, speech and language development, language delays/disorders, pediatric feeding, autism spectrum disorder and alternative augmentative communication, while encouraging parental involvement and family-centered practice.

Jaclynne resides in Chelmsford Massachusetts with her husband, two daughters and dog Lucy. She enjoys spending time with her family camping, hiking and skiing.

At Peas and Carrots Speech and Feeding we are committed to providing evidence-based therapy. Jaclynne stays up-to-date on evidence-based practice frequently attending workshops and trainings. Jaclynne has received training in: More Than Words, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Autism Spectrum Disorders, LAMP (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning), Oral Placement Therapy (OPT), Sequential-Oral- Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding, SMILE Program (Systematic Intervention for Lingual Elevation) program for tongue-thrust remediation, Solving The Puzzle of Autism: Using Tactile Therapy and Feeding Therapy: A Sensory Motor Approach, SOS Approach to Feeding (Advanced Workshop) Tools in Your Pantry: Effectively Using the New OralMotor Steps to Eating

Samantha Coyle M.S. CCC-SLP

Samantha Coyle holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Massachusetts licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Samantha graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in American Sign Language Studies and Purdue University with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology.

Samantha's professional interests include evaluation and treatment of preschool and elementary-aged children with articulation and phonological delays/disorders, fluency disorders, augmentative alternative communication needs, and receptive/expressive language delays/disorders. Samantha enjoys reading, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and walking her dog.

Rachel Barrett joined the practice as one of our per diem clinicians. She currently works with the preschool population in the public school setting treating children with varies communication disorders such as: articulation/phonological disorders, apraxia of speech, receptive/expressive language impairment and autism spectrum disorders. Rachel also has experience with pediatric feeding including children with restrictive diets and picky eaters.

Michela Stone joined the practice as one of our per diem clinicians. Michela graduated from Assumption College with a Bachelors of Arts in Human Services and Rehabilitation with a concentration in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then completed her Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology at Sacred Heart University. Michela currently works in a collaborative school with the medically complex population ages 3-22. Her primary experience is with augmentative and alternative communication, delays/disorders related to ASD, and expressive/receptive language delays/disorders.
